Ridge to Blazing Ridge Trail Race

I had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of runners last weekend at the Ridge to Ridge Blazing Ridge Trail Race at Oak Mountain State Park.

The heat, the humidity, the rocky terrain.

I think it’s safe to say these runners are incredible for showing up and showing out.

Emotive

I’ve been on a huge black and white photo kick lately.

To me, they tell so much more emotion than color photos.

They’re moody and I love them.

Thus if you have a session booked with me, you’ll probably end up with quite a few extra black and white images mixed into your gallery.

Sharing more of this session Lorelai a few weeks ago because she’s just so giggly, giddy, and full of energy.

Words can’t describe how much I love this sweet girl, Lorelai. I’ve luckily had the pleasure of photographing her since she was a baby and watching her grow over the past decade and a half.

We had the best time walking through Jemison Park in Mountain Brook, AL shooting a variety of portraits. As we got a pretty late start and the sun had already started to set, we were still able to get some pretty green colors at the very end of golden hour.
